Caeli's Snowman!

Caeli and Dad made this snowman at the end of the driveway. Caeli thought it was a GREAT idea. She wanted the snowman to scare me when I drove up the driveway... That little stinker:) It was complete with carrot nose, dog bisket mouth, and chalk eyes! They even dyed the hair blue! What style those two have!

2005 - Guinness

Guinness with his favorite baby! He was the only one in the world that loved Caeli's 5 foot projectile vomiting 10 times a day! He was always close-by waiting...

Goodbye Guinness...

Today Guinness's journey with us came to an early end at age 6. As the vet said, "It is always the really good ones that get taken from us too soon." He was the best dog. Sure... he ate the garbage on a regular basis, stole food from the table when you were not looking, and a loaf of bread never made it 24 hours in our house; but, he really had it where mattered. He had the biggest heart we have ever known.

Guinness sat by my side while I was in labor with Caeli. He welcomed each baby into the house with a gentleness we could never have predicted. He woke the girls everyday with kisses and checked for Monsters every night! He loved water balloon fights in the summer and snowball fights in the winter.

Guinness went everywhere with the family. Sometimes he even managed to sneak into the store. I am sure the pharmacist at Walgreens will never forget the time a big black dog ran into the store, jumped up on the pharmacy counter and barked for a treat. (Well, they do give him one at the drive-up window.)

He slept with Tim and I from the 1st night he came home with us. He was always in the same room with us and I don't know what it will be like to take a shower and not have to step over him to get out.

Guinness jumped out of my moving car to play with a neighborhood dog; he dragged me down the bike path chasing bunnies, and visited neighbors without asking permission. He recognized the signs of us preparing for a party and waited patiently at the front window for the guests to arrive. Sometimes for hours.... From the time he was a puppy he was so gentle he could carry a water ballon in his mouth without breaking it! Most importantly, he always knew when I was sad and sat with me. He listened to every story I had to share. He kept me company when I spent days home alone with the girls.

I could go on forever...We are very happy we had him for 6 years and we are very sad he was taken from us so soon. He truly was one of a kind!! WE LOVE YOU GUINNESS!!

One made it down...

Caeli made it down the hill FAST. Keira hit a bump, flew up in the air, and landed with her face in the snow! It was too funny. Too bad Keira didn't find it as funny as Mom did. It was a short trip because Keira really doesn't like snow yet!
